What a wonderful show!  Thank you so much to all the fabulous folks who came out on Saturday.  I couldn't believe how many of you were there showing your support, lookin fine on a chilly night.  Joseph Mills began the evening with his piano-driven power pop accompanied by John Fitzhugh on the tasty drums.  Without coordinating with us, he and John were dolled up in jackets and ties- just like our group!  Here's a little story as a testament to how great my band is: I was running about, saying hi to friends as they came in, generally being excited and listening to Joseph rock.  We were to go on at around 11pm, and it was about 10:45 when I got a call from Teswar, the bass player.  He seemed frantic, "Hey, I'll be right there!!!"  So I said, "Um, ok, great!  See ya!"  I thought it was a bit odd, but left it alone and carried on with my warm-up and chatted with Joia, who told me the real story...   Apparently, Teswar had gone home for a nap after they all had dinner and when he called, he'd just woken up!  My super-band had been calling him from 8 different phones, including mine from the green room, trying to get him up.  Ian was asking Grove how his bass skills were and considering boning up on his own. They made the very wise executive call not to tell me about it to keep me stress-free!  Teswar arrived, and on we went!  No sweat.  We played 6 tunes together, finishing the first set with an extended solo section in "Bad Today"- much face melting by the Ian and Grover, kept solid by James.  Julie and Joia joined after a couple songs as my "hot chick" section and then everyone took a break while I played a couple by myself.  ("Dream of Italy"...couldn't remember the bridge for the life of me...oh well.  Apologies.)  Then we started back up with a roaring version of Book and kept right on!  The sound was great and folks were even dancing to "Dirty Little Cloud!"  We did an encore of I-70 that makes me proud to have such a talented group of players surrounding me.  Thanks to 106.1 The Corner for sponsoring us- putting "Book" on the radio, playing My Corner Playlist and interviewing me beforehand.  Also thanks to Is Venue for having us, The Hook and the Daily Progress for the nice articles!  Most especially thanks in order to YOU for coming and being such a fun audience and making my night!  Now, we're doing it all over again for the Living Room in New York City...get ready 'cause here we come!
