As Summer heats up, things have been pretty busy in Camp Mariana: Lots of local secret shows around Charlottesville with other local musicians such as Travis Elliott, Tucker Rogers, MoneyPenny's Mike Meadows, Helen Horal, Man Mountain Jr., The Nice Jenkins and many more! Check them all out on MySpace.com/CvilleMusicShowcase to find Mariana's secret gigs, head to the Virginian on the off Sunday, Jaberwoke on Mondays...you might see her testing out some new songs.
As we're gearing up for the BIG RECORD (please, starting to think album titles, art etc- fan input welcome!) Mariana and Travis Elliott are also putting together a little teaser EP BEFORE the record release! The 6 or 7 song disc will be mostly acoustic, with some fun duets written by Travis, and a couple sneak preview acoustic versions of Mariana's tracks from the upcoming album. Look for that online in the coming months, as well as local music vendor Plan 9 in Charlottesville & Richmond.
Be sure to tune in to 106.1FM the Corner for all the new stuff before you can even buy it! They've been really great about promoting Mariana and all the locals of Cville.

From the Field School of Charlottesville 's May Newsletter, the Pioneer:
"We had a great evening on May 1st at Starr Hill Music Hall. Four Bands played, and supporters and music fans filled the room. Our silent auction, with about 50 items donated by supporters and local businesses, helped us raise over $6,000 for the event. Special thanks to the MARIANA BELL band, Sons of Bill, Clarence Green & the Downbeat Project, Corey Harris..."
